Updates: May. 28, 2006
Due to lack of interest and new changes to the XBMC skin engine this project is stopped. I am releasing the latest version and the source code. You need Delphi 7 to compile it. There is a new editor in the works by EqUiNoX and looks very promissing. His website is Here. Here is the source and latest compiled version of my App Here

Updates: March. 20, 2006
The 2.0 release is set back due to remodling mt house. New kitchen and hardwood floor. I also recently built a new gaming machine that I have to transfer my source over to and get up and running. Not sure when a release will be but I will try to work on it when I can.

Updates: Feb. 14, 2006
Things have been going very good so far. Working on a release soon after 2.0 skins are utilized in XBMC. The editor will be 2.0 compatible and be full of prebuilt items and options. So far testing is going good and alot of updates have resulted from ideas and suggestions from testers. I feel the app is becoming very powerfull and full featured and with a profesional interface.

Updates: Dec. 7, 2005
The new GUI is mostly complete. It will fit 1024x768 desktop and is the default size. There are no longer a preview screen and an editor screen I combined the 2 and created a dynamic gui that will change depending on the data. Basicly there will no longer be large areas of empty space when the selected control only has 4-5 settings. It is similar to 3dmax in that all your settings are on the right and setup on a scroll form.

Along with the GUI I recoded the entire rendering system to a cleaner more effective one. You no longer have to click on just the image of a button. Clicking the text will do the same as the image. Scale is now assigned to the shift key, So any time you wish to scale an image or any control, just hold down shift and then click on the control and stretch it to the size you want. Controls are also now selected when clicking on the list view. A box will form around the selected control so you can see what one is selected. Added the option of bring selected to front. This will allow you to click on any control and it will be rendered in front of everything else. This is only for this program! They will still render in order in XBMC. It is easier to see things and adjust them without having to clear the screen every time. The next release will also have alot of premade controls you can import directly into your skin. these would be weather icons, weather location, current weather, ect.... Just import, and adjust position.

I am looking into the possibility to load images directly from an xpr file. This would eliminate the end user having to download all the textures of the skin they want to edit. The main problem is making it compatible with my app or translating a loader in to perl.

And last I have only got one problem reported so far? This problem was a gui issue with the last version and has been removed. Its hard for me to fix things I don't know are broke! If you find a problem or have a suggestion, PLEASE email me and I will look into it before final release.

Updates: Dec. 2, 2005
Uploaded new Compact version of app. It is only 1024x768. This will help all those of you with lower resolution screens. This is still fully functional. Just load them both if you want to see the difference. Click the download button at the left to download it or the full version.

Updates: Nov. 28, 2005
-Had a great thanksgiving and plenty of turkey and taters with gravy :)
-I just added support for the new multi image. It does not actualy flip throught the images but will allow you to set the size and position ect...
-Added FTP import and export directly to and from the Xbox. Remember you still need to set a media folder up to load images from! Unless you just want to edit without rendering.
-I have not heard from any testers so I may decide to release one more beta before the first real version.
-If anyone is interested in helping with instructions or the building of the website please let me know!

Updates: Nov. 22, 2005
-Well I didn't get an XBOX360.
-As far as a release date, It may take some time as only one person came forward to help test :( That translates to a longer testing timeframe and a release further away than I had planned. It also means the next release may be full of features and load all the skins and allow you to change them but not save them. As all the bugs may not be worked out.
-I fixed the problem with jpg images that are actualy PNG images. It know loads them as png images.
-Added buttonscroller to the controls list as It was not im PMIII I didn't even know it existed.
-I noticed they added a new type in the CVS. I will add it as soon as more info is released on how it works and what settings it takes.
-I rebuilt the way the app loads images and you can now select to not load any transparent information from images. This will prevent problems with PNG images being stretched when they are partialy transparent. There is no other way to do this. This is only if there is a problem loading a stretched image. Otherwise it should be left the way it is.
-Added the ability to click in the lower right hand corner of a control and stretch it to the size you need it. Again you should disable transparencies before stretching buttons or images.

I hope everyone that got an xbox360 is enjoying themselves. Maybe after christmass I will get one :\

Updates: Nov. 16, 2005
-Today after work I downloaded The orbs, HDeeMC2005, and xbmc360. Every xml file I loaded rendered very nice! With the ecxeption of the orbs as I don't have the images for the media folder.
-Things seem to be advancing nicely and if everything goes as I hope You may see a release before Thanksgiving :)

Updates: Nov. 15 2005
-I got one tester now :) Hope to get some more....
-I think I found the main problem with PNG images. It was in the loader I downloaded.
-Thumbview now shows two sample icons with the imagefolder and imagefolderfocus working when you click on it. Now set up to show the regular thumb. When done it will show 2 of each, regular and big thumbs.
-XanTium from Xbox-scene.com has very generously gave me webspace to host a site and place updates. The new vesion of XBMC skineditor will go to the new website instead of the old one from freewebs.
-Here are some pics of the latest build:
New build preview 1
New Build preview 2

Updates: Nov. 10 2005
-Recoded the image loading for better compatibility :)
-Preview screen now loads complete window upon load(all controls are loaded and displayed). You can still clear it and load them one at a time!
-Completely rebuilt GUI and settings are know dynamicly loaded depending upon type selected. This means only settings that pertain to the selected type will be displayed and avail. This cut down on size of app to 1150 wide by 825 height this may be the smallest I can get it down to.
-Updated image for controls that are not supported to a nice transparent image with green highlight.
-I am working on getting webspace for downloads and information about this app.
-Added color to the GUI to help with viewing and changing settings.
-Main listview now shows onup, ondown, onleft, onright. Now you can see them all at once to make sure they are set right.

These and other features will be in the next release!

I need beta testers to test prereleases of the app. If you have worked on skins for XBMC before and are familiar with the xml files and want to help please let me know! I would like to get 2-3 testers with experience. This would be a big help! If you are interested please Email me Here.
